Tony first came into contact with Christian schools at the opening of Tyndale Christian School in 1966. Some years later, after spending some time as a geophysicist and then a science teacher in the State system he returned to Tyndale as a maths, science and music teacher. Later he joined the board of CPCS (then called the National Union of Associations for Parent Controlled Christian Schools) and in 1981 became the first executive officer of CPCS. In 1987 he moved to the Northern Beaches of Sydney to become principal of Covenant Christian School. He 'retired' in 2007 to take up educational consulting.
Tony is strongly committed to Christian schooling and has been actively involved in its promotion and support over many years. He has been a director of Wycliffe Christian School, is a past director of the Australian Association of Christian Schools and a current director of Christian Super. He is an elder in the Christian Reformed Church of DeeWhy. His wife, Robyn, is also a teacher (Primary) and he has 4 adult children who all attended CPCS schools.
He is enjoying being more directly involved in CPCS again. |

Mark Breyley |
|
 |
Mark and Rose Breyley have two teenage children at Maranatha Christian School in Melbourne's south east. Rose serves in the office of Transforming Melbourne, the organisation linking all the Pastor's Networks across Melbourne. Mark has held a range of church lay leadership roles for around 30 years, more recently taking a staff position in his local church to extend the use of his gifting in leadership and coaching.
Mark's professional qualifications in Engineering and Operations Management provided a starting point for a business management and consulting career spanning several industries. After consulting to some of Australia's largest corporate names, Mark left the business world to focus on Christian leadership development, through his own company Journey On Pty Ltd. In particular, this calling takes him into churches and Christian schools to work with leaders on organisational alignment and leadership development. His part-time role as State Executive Officer is a specific application of those skills and experience into the CPCS structure. |

Northern Territory |
Geoff Bateman |

Geoff’s involvement with the Christian schooling started nearly 16 years ago in the Northern Territory as a parent and school council member at Marrara Christian School. Geoff and his family later left the NT to work with Fusion Australia in rural Tasmania. There he had oversight of Fusion’s training in Christian Youth & Community Work and helped start a Christian school, of which he later became Principal.
The call of the tropics (and, more significantly, the Lord) was too strong and in January 2005 Geoff took up a position at Woolaning Homeland Christian College (adjacent to Litchfield National Park, 2 hours drive SW of Darwin). Geoff was appointed as Principal of Woolaning from July 2005 where he stayed until he took up the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Territory Christian Schools Association on 30th April 2007.
The NTCSA has 7 schools in the NT, manages another under contract and is involved in numerous other projects and ventures in support of education, training and care of NT children and young adults.
Geoff, his wife Sue and two adult sons have almost reacclimatized to life in the suburbs after years in the northern and southern bush. As a family they continue to marvel at the journey God has them on.
